The Winged Roadmap is Winged Founders’ answer to that: a doc you work through over weeks or months, with each section building on the last. Here is what is inside — and why each part exists.
What you get
When you request a Winged Roadmap, Winged Founders reads your application — your goals, stuck points, constraints, and impact so far — and builds a hyperdoc tailored to you. It is not a static PDF. It is a fill-in plan, usually around 20–25 pages, that you work through asynchronously.
You receive it by email. Support happens on that same thread if you get stuck (for roadmap holders). The format is designed for founders who are juggling school, family, mental health, or limited time — not for people who can drop everything for weekly calls.
The “Before”
Every roadmap starts with a metrics table: where you are right now. People reached, funds or goods moved, channels you have, skills you bring. Rough numbers are fine.
This section exists so you can tell a growth story later — for applications, outreach, and your own clarity. When you finish the roadmap, you fill in the “after” column and the contrast speaks for itself.
Bite-sized introspection
Before locking in milestones, you get a bank of introspective prompts. Pick the ones that resonate — there is no required order. The goal is to surface your leadership style, your motive, and the story behind your initiative.
WF roots roadmaps in storytelling because motivation is not constant. On hard weeks, a clear personal why is what keeps you going. These prompts prime that before you commit to a direction.
Part 1: Your profile
A workshop-style section on articulating your initiative: who you serve, what you do, what you are building toward. This anchors everything else.
If you are early-stage, this is where vague ideas become a concrete mission. If you already have an initiative, it sharpens how you describe it to partners, judges, and audiences.
Part 2: Timeline
Milestones and tasks paced around the hours per week and constraints you shared on your request form. Not a fantasy schedule — a path you can actually follow.
You work through it at your own speed. No mandatory Zooms. If something feels too big, reply on your roadmap email thread and WF can help you recalibrate (roadmap holders only).
Part 3: Opportunities & applications
Matched fellowships, grants, awards, and programs based on your profile — not a random list from Google. Each entry is filtered for eligibility and fit so you are not wasting hours on things you cannot apply to.
Priority deadlines are surfaced so you know what to tackle first. Templates and notes help you tailor applications without starting from scratch every time.
Part 4: Outreach
Apply, track submissions, and put your story in front of audiences — magazines, channels, partners. This is often the scariest part for young founders; the roadmap gives you structure so visibility is a habit, not a one-off panic.
Your profile and introspection sections feed directly into outreach blurbs you can reuse. Consistency builds recognition, which builds impact.
Finish line
When you have worked through your milestones and filled in your before & after impact, reply on the email thread where you received your roadmap. Completed founders may be eligible for a free promotion across Winged Founders channels.
You do not need a perfect outcome — you need honest progress documented. That is what makes the roadmap useful long after you close the doc.
